I now live in Malta, two exams into my journey through the Applied Neuroscience MSc.
Some lessons I've been pondering, in random order:
- Always pick the choice that expands your life. It might not end up being the "right choice" (what does that even mean?) but it will satisfy you deeply.
- Living in a place where tomatoes actually have a flavour and fruit is delicious is very underrated.
- If you have to judge yourself on any metric, why not pick how fun your life is, how kind you are to people, and how lightly you move in the world?
- I do feel at least 20% more myself when I have a tan.
AI has not taken my job yet, but I am nevertheless ready for my full-time farmer/pirate/scientist era.
